A really relaxing and quiet weekend. The campsite is spotless and well maintained. A nice scenic dog walk which was also very clean. The toilet block and showers were well looked after. The campsite is within easy reach of York and the local amenities within a 5 minute drive with plenty to choose from. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we hope to return soon for a longer stay!

Just wanted to say that we had a lovely weekend with you. The site was peaceful and well cared for. The dogs enjoyed their strolls along the beck side and Roy enjoyed his time fishing. This is a little Gem of a site and we look forward to coming back (especially when the new Shower Block is finished), as it's a little bit away from the main site. Didn't like to pay to use showers (we prefer when this is added to the Rate rather than trying to find 50p's for the Black)..... but they were lovely and clean.

Keep up the good work both of you - the site will definitely be one of our favourites.

Just had a great weekend at this site, nice and peaceful, in lovely setting with lakes, greenery is beautiful kept, i must say the poshest / cleanest toilet/shower block i have seen in a long time, even a radio playing. I felt at home straight away, although a long walk from tent area, I have since been told there is a toilet block to be built in the near future. 5 mins drive to park & ride , bus into York, took just minutes, cost about £3.50 for 2 adults so well worth it, great day out. Roll on 2 weeks time, when we will certainly be back ( weather permitting ) as we still have lots we want to see and do. ps, great friendly owners too

Just a quick note to say a big "Thankyou". We only had chance to spend one night on site but thought everything was wonderful. People friendly and a beautifully laid out site. We look forward very much to a return visit and for longer.

We arrived and were the only tent on the site. As the tent area is by the lake, this ment that we had a totally secluded weekend for midnight BBQ's and late mornings..perfect! The facilities were spotless, although a bit of a walk from the tent pitch area (worth it for the serenity of it all though) We chose this site for its proximity to York and it couldnt have been any better..unless we camped at the minster. Bus was ten min from Cliffton moor shopping ctr and Taxi was £7. Good place to stay for a city break with a country feel.

When we arrived at this site I could not believe that it was really a bank holiday. I was expecting overcrowding and a lot of noise. However it could not have been more peaceful. The pitches are really well spaced out so you get a feeling of privacy.
